Life Lately: Firsts and Lasts and In Between

It's Friday. I had a list of things to do in the house. But now I'm ready to get out and burst through the doors of Marshall's. I want a Coke, and I want some finds. Happy Friday!!

Life in New York has been great! The transition to life with a husband and male roommate - I'm not complaining. The Lord has been so gracious to me during these first couple of weeks:
1) Warm weather; I'm talking the 70's people!
2) Sunrises like below.
3) Walking and jogging weather.
4) No rain so far.
5) Beautiful leaves. See below.
6) People who have loved my accent or saw a damsel in distress. Votes are still out on that one!

Our FIRST Saturday morning, I woke up to this sunrise through our bedroom balcony. As Lauren V would say "Ah-MAZ-ing!"

Most of Saturday held furniture shopping. I didn't bring a piece with me. And we need a table! We are enjoying imagining this and that, here and there. I want comfy table, chairs, and couch because that's where the people are!

That's right folks! It's snow. We had a random spurt of snow. Not a soul knew about it. This may be a FIRST and a LAST - me dancing in the snow. #idontlikesnow

Monday and Tuesday involved all parts of the Name Change game. I needed a PO to send out some Thank Yous. Lo and behold there it was nestled right across from the car inspection place. I took a picture because of the sweetness of the Lord. I'd just spent over an hour at SS and now just wanted to get those letters sent! Here it was. Cute as a button.

I take lots of walks around our neighborhood. We live in a predominant retiree community. Don't hate it! I'm talking quiet as a mouse-type living. And these beauties..

My FIRST little wife surprise! - 2 mums and a bouquet of Fall flowers. He's a winner! We searched Friday and all of the week before for some non-dead mums. Jeremy found these lovelies for half the price and came home early that day. I was so pumped!! We took a walk to celebrate!

Amanda sent an outfit pic, so I sent one. This is pretty much errday. I mean, except for when I'm taking trips to Marshalls or Bed Bath and Beyond or Target or a date night. Then I know what it is.

The LAST round of Thank Yous. And I wanted to break into a praise song.

And the picture that inspired all of this. This is my LAST submission for my contract writing for Treasuring Christ Curriculum. I know there will be more things to come, but I am thankful and pleased with this season of my life. The desire to write grew even more while I was writing this for three years. The Lord has challenge me so much while writing for preschoolers. Thankful.

And this is my life.. lately. Have a great weekend!!

  2. Hi Erin! I found your blog through Kelly's Korner... My boyfriend and I met online (not on Kelly's Korner, although I did participate in the Singles Day for a few years) and I feel like I can really relate to you. I really struggled with my singleness for a long, long time.
