Show Us Your Singles: Kelly

Happy Singles Day everyone! Seeing as how I met my husband through Kelly's Korner, I'm doing my best to post a few singles we want to find great matches!

Meet my friend, Kelly!

Kelly is a great friend of mine! Kelly is originally from Raleigh, NC and still resides in the area. She will be 32 very soon and works as an administrative assistant for the pastoral staff at a church in the Triangle.  We met at church when I moved to Raleigh in 2007.

Kelly and I have been in several Bible studies together and book clubs. She enjoys serving at her church and being involved in mission projects in the community. We've actually hosted several parties at Christmas time together where we specifically focus on giving to a cause. All of this translates to the point that Kelly loves the Lord! She has a desire to serve Him and is looking for someone who desires to do the same!

This is at my wedding! Kelly is actually the one who told me about Kelly's Korner way back when.

Kelly is also an aunt and loves spending time with her niece and nephew. She is so fun and always plans exciting things for them to do.

We love fun parties! This was taken at a Kentucky Derby party last May. Kelly is great at planning parties and loves a good theme! She keeps life fun and always has something going on!

Before you go telling your brother or coworker about Kelly's awesomeness, there's MORE!

She loves NC State- football, basketball, you name it!

Kelly can cook! And loves to try new recipes - That makes a great wife right?

She is a wonderful conversationalist and talk about everything from entertainment and sports to what the Lord is doing in her life!

Kelly is a master at Trivia Night; You definitely want her as your partner!

Show Us Your Singles: Heather

Seeing as how I met my husband through Kelly's Korner, I'm a huge proponent of Show Us Your Singles. I have several friends I'd like to introduce you or your brother to.

This is my friend Heather!

Heather is a great friend! She and I met during my time in seminary which was probably around 2008 or 2009. That means we've known each other a while! Heather is 31 and currently lives in Florida. 

Heather loves the Lord! I can't think of a time when we weren't talking about the Lord and what He is teaching us at any given time. She seeks to serve and worship Him with her life. Heather works as a Children's Minister at a church in Florida. She really enjoys her job and considers it less of a job and more of something fun to do where she can minster to others.

As you can tell Heather has a great smile! Her smile matches her personality. She is always so happy and loves being around people. I would say (though she may disagree) Heather is also fairly adventurous. She's up for just about anything!

Heather loves spending time with her family. She respects her parents and their advice. Heather has a heart for Africa because her grandparents served there as missionaries for a time.

Heather is a Chinese food lovin', Tampa Bay Rays watchin', Christmas obsessed, Disney die hard and cheesecake indulger type of girl!

Heather and I would often meet to eat at a restaurant along the Interstate when I was traveling back to Raleigh and she was in another part of the state. She's a great long distance friend who I'm able to keep up with often. Now that I live in NY and she lives in FL, you'd figure the friendship would fall apart.. not so. All that to say, you should connect the dots and realize that a long distance friend is likely to make a great long distance (or short distance) girlfriend for some lucky fella.

Show Us Your Singles: Aaron

Seeing as how I met my husband on Kelly's Korner, I'm a huge fan of Show Us Your Singles. Read it as this: I'm trying to play matchmaker for everyone I know like I'm a fairy godmother or something. Anyway, since I met my husband here, it's only fitting that I introduce you to one of his groomsmen and great friends...

Meet Aaron!

Jeremy and Aaron met at church in 5th grade - That's a long time ago folks! Jeremy considers Aaron to be a loyal friend, a great listener and conversationalist, a trustworthy confidant, and a guy that genuinely loves the Lord. Hence the reason we want to find him a great gal!

Aaron is 32 and currently living and working in Kentucky. He recently started working in pharmaceutical sales, where he gets to travel a lot. For those of you who don't mind a little distance, Aaron is both willing to travel and enjoys seeing new places!

Aaron loves to eat- as in he's a foodie. He likes to plan his travels around good food and dining. 

 He also stays very active, from running and hiking to hitting the golf course.

Aaron is an uncle and enjoys spending time with nieces and nephews. He would like to find someone who wants to have children some day.

When asked, Aaron said he would like to meet someone who is a Christian so they can grow in their walks together;  somewhat of a foodie and likes to try new foods; has a sense of adventure and an active lifestyle; and would one day like to have children. Yes, that pretty much sums it up!

Jeremy and I were able to have lunch with Aaron during the Christmas break, and I was so excited when Kelly's Korner advertised Singles Day. We want Aaron to meet a great girl, and this just might be the ticket!
