ABOUT ME

Hi there! I'm Erin! Welcome to my corner of the world wide web. I've made this my home for the last five years, and I plan on keeping it that way. Home is home, and this is my home.

I love my family, my friends, and being an aunt to M&M. I love the Lord, His salvation, His grace and specifically Deuteronomy.

I began blogging in 2011 to give me something to do while I was at work. Writing quickly turned into a great love and creative outlet. It was through the blog world that I met my husband in 2014 thanks to Kelly's Korner and her Show Us Your Singles. My sweet friend, Kathryn, posted about me on the Singles link up. Jeremy read about me 3 months later. Though I didn't respond to his email right away, we haven't stopped talking to one another since the day I finally responded (only 3 days later- you gotta keep 'em on their toes, right?). We were married on October 3, 2015; which is also known as the day the floods took over SC. I could not have asked for a more perfect day - BBQ, funfetti cupcakes, dancing, the best friends and family a girl could have, and Christ at the center of it all. I walked away that day with a husband - the one I'd been asking God to send me for years. All in His timing, my friends.

I'm a newlywed. I'm a housewife. I'm an army wife. And I'm living in the northern parts of this US. With a Target, sweet tea, and a Chickfila within reasonable driving distance, I'm doing just fine. Life gets interesting and exciting all at the same time! It's been immeasurably more than all I could've asked, and for that I am thankful.

As I continue to grow in the Lord, He has taught me much about Himself and His Word through each season thus far - oh, how those single years were enough in and of themselves! I have searched for life in so many areas of my life outside of resting in Him alone. It is from this notion the title of my blog originated- This is My Life. It is only through Him that we know a satisfied, contented, abundant life. It is only through Him that we may know how to stand on the Truth of His Word in a world that points in a million other directions. To that end, I write. That we may enjoy and walk the path of life He has declared!

Grab a Coke and stay a while...
This is my life,
Erin

Lord, You have assigned me my portion and my cup; You have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. Psalm 16:5-6
